I think I've just watched the worst Sci-Fi mini series ever to appear on British Television. The story concerned a mining flight to the moon that is taken over by giant intelligent insects who wear the humans like suits so they can come back to Earth, all get jobs at City Hall, lay thousands of eggs and take over the planet. And the reason for this invasion? Its not because they like the taste of human flesh, but they want to use our bodies as fertiliser to grom the moss they like to drink.
The title of this travesty was The Final Days of Planet Earth.
I'm not sure what was worse, the wooden acting (from Daryl Hannah, Gil Bellows and the rest of the cast), the terrible script, or the low quality of the effects.
I had to check what others thought of this, and it didn't take long to find this quote on IMDB
Oh no. Oh my. Oh my goodness. Where do I even begin? The highly unique idiocy of this movie made for the telly is so jaw-dropping, I would almost recommend watching it because of how strange it is in terms of bad writing
I'm interested to know if anyone has seen a sci-fi mini series actually worse than this - but I think it will take some beating.
