I hope everyone had a very good Christmas and enjoyed their New Years celebrations.
Its now that time on the calendar when it is traditional to sit down and make a resolution for the year ahead.
I have two that I'm hoping to keep this time:
1) Get More Exercise
I received an email yesterday saying that the bicycle I had ordered through the cycle to work scheme was now available for collection. So I'll be going to fetch it on Saturday morning.
I had hoped that not having a car and walking a lot more would help my fitness levels, but it doesn't seem to have had an effect, so perhaps travelling further on a bicycle will help.
2) Take and Publish More Photographs
I do take a lot of photographs. Looking at the number of files on my hard drive, it appears I took 85,000 photographs during the last 5 years.
However I take these in bursts. Sometimes several weeks can go by without me using the camera.
It also takes me an age to actually go back through the photographs and actually do anything with them.
I also find myself taking the same types of shots over and over.
I've therefore decided to try completing a Project 365 starting from 1st January 2010 and finishing on 31st December 2010.
Over the course of the year I will attempt to take a photograph every day, and then upload it to its own blog.
Wish me luck. With these two resolutions I'm a bit concerned I may have bitten off more than I can actually achieve.
